Napa Prime Chophouse - WEXFORD

According to the star ratings, this place deserves a 4, but the real draw is the food, which carries more weight in my assessment. The overall experience was pleasant; the wine selection was excellent, and the service was top-notch. However, the steak was disappointing—I've certainly had much better. To be honest, I wouldn't order the tomahawk again. For that price, I expect a dish that brings me to tears, and it fell far short of that. Just to clarify, it's a nice restaurant, and I’m willing to give it another try, but I’ll choose something different next time.

One of the steaks was sent back because it wasn't cooked medium rare as requested. Another steak was overcooked and difficult to cut with the steak knife provided. The whipped potatoes were served cold and also returned. I had high hopes for the meal, but unfortunately, it was disappointing.

We often dine here and love the food and atmosphere, and usually, the service as well. However, our experience last week was disappointing. Our waiter seemed distracted; he walked by our table and mumbled, “I’ve got something going on,” before disappearing into the kitchen (we were seated right by the door). After waiting for ten minutes, I flagged down the manager, who took over and went through the specials with us. When our waiter finally returned, he delivered a mediocre performance, lacking any personality and speaking so softly that I couldn't understand him and honestly didn't care. It was clear the manager was aware that he wasn't fulfilling his duties. I hope we don’t encounter him again. The quality of your server can really impact the dining experience. If this had been our first visit to Napa, we would have been looking to make reservations somewhere else! You really need to do better. It was quite uncomfortable!

Great atmosphere and staffing. Molly our waitress was excellent.The food was just okay and for the price it should be outstanding and it is not. The coal fired asparagus was very tough and so smoky it was not edible.My Wagyu ribeye was over seasoned (salt) to the point it overshadowed the beef flavor which was unfortunate to do that to a premium cut of meat. I was not impressed enough to even think of going back.

Always amazing food never disappointed with the food and specials. The service is beyond amazing!
