Indian Moments - Whitby

After reading the many reviews, we decided to give this restaurant a try. We arrived without a reservation and were informed that our table would be ready in 2-3 minutes, which turned out to be accurate. While we waited, we ordered a starter and a drink, both of which arrived promptly. Our main course was taken within 15 minutes, and our food came out 15 minutes after that. I can honestly say it was some of the best Indian food I’ve had in a long time. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to return.

I had a wonderful family dinner here. The food was very tasty, the service was great, and the prices were reasonable. The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxed, making for a lovely evening. I’m happy to recommend this place!

I had a few chicken jalfrezi with mushrooms from here last week and both were excellent. many chickens with fresh chillies etc. in a beautiful sauce. also the rice, the chips and the naan were excellent. great. friendly service from the phone of order to collection. I would come back if in the opposite.

I was worried reading some of the reviews, but we were very happy with the service and food. Friday evening, not too busy, popadums and Cobra served immediately, followed by our main course when we were ready. Chicken Tikka masala, aloo gob, mushroom bahjee, pilau rice and plain nan bread. All very good. Decor is OK, it is an old converted church so I guess it is always going to be a slightly strange combination.

I usually visit another Indian restaurant near the train station, but I decided to try this one for a change. To be honest, the decor is quite unappealing; it seems like no effort was made, and it almost feels like the place is used for local council meetings. In terms of decor and atmosphere, the other Indian restaurant in Whitby definitely has it beat. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the food. It was excellent—rich and flavorful sauces with generous portions of meat or chicken. The presentation was clean as well. I even brought my own mood lighting to enhance the experience!
