We are regulars here, and the servers are amazing and attentive. The food is always comes out quickly and is consistently delicious. Highly recommend!!

Great food & service on a weekend evening. Server was attentive and greet with check-in The sangria was delicious on a Sunday day.

I have waited a few days to reflect and gather my thoughts to accurately convey my experience. The menu is an ambitious excercise in West Coast Fresh Fusion. But fusion with multiple cultures. I was initally taken aback, and after reflection decided to pass as the task seemed impossible to execute on the strip. However, the object of the evening, Cosmos, is still closed after the fire so we wandered. On wandering back past Five, we spied the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence Banner. Okay, we will try despite my misgivings.The issue was the many fusion directions on the menu. Almost all fusions cultures I have dined in at an exquisite level, so I thought I would be disappointed. For example, how does one top seafood linguine at Ae Sconte in Venice? Or if the charcuterie fusion how does one top La Taverna on the Lido? I posed my dilemma to the staff who noted that the staff were broadly multicultural and each nominated a fusion with their culture of origin for the menu, which was then developed further. By this point, my appetite was well developed. The first course was Thai Basil steam mussels. A full pound of Salt Spring Mussels. While very interesting, it did not quite hit the spot. The staff were most gracious. Round one to Sala Thai in the (past) glory days of the Dragon Lady. To be fair, many around us with the dish were thouroghly enjoying the mussels. The Thornhaven gewurztraminer was a perfect pairing.Then onto the pan seared and oven finished Haida Guai halibut. Fresh halibut prepared simply and prepared to perfection. The bed of warm lentils was a perfect taste and texture counterpoint. The freshly prepared cucumber relish over top was also an amazing taste and texture counter point. The Thornhaven was pressed into service again. Round to to Five, with bonus points.For most folks, this will be a gem of an experience.

Enjoyed a wonderful meal by the ocean at Five last night. We were greeted and placed at the best available table without even having to ask. We ordered crab cakes to start and they were most likely the best crab cakes I have ever tasted. I chose the Catch of the Day which was Artic Char and it was done up beautifully. My husband chose the Creole Chicken and it was absolutely delicious. Oh, and the chocolate ganache with the peanut butter cookie?? Amazing! The view is spectacular -- who doesn't love to look out over the ocean while they eat!? We will definitely be back -- thanks Five for making it a Five Star Night!
