Opa! of Greece - Winnipeg

As far as fast food goes you will not find a better place!!! Chicken souvlaki, chicken pita, calamari, salad, baklava....all awesome!! I make this my regular go to lunch at polo park!!

If you are in a hurry, Opa! is a solid option. The food is exactly as shown filling but kind of bland. Watch out for the salad ask for it to be made fresh or they just keep adding more stuff to the...same bowl so you can get some soggy lettuce... if you are looking for really good Greek food, I would recommend Homer’s or Kristina’s.

Stopped by for a quick snack. Seems to be a popular place as there was a line up (moved quickly). Service was friendly. Purchased a lamb kebab and order of calamari. Both were served on some romaine lettuce leaves, a lemon wedge and Tzatziki sauce...in a small portion cup. Sauce was ok seemed to have dill and oregano in it? Was ok tasting, but not like transitional dip. The kebab was good well seasoned and cooked medium rare. Would not order the calamari again. (Paper plate sized) It came with the tubes and tentacles, but the tentacles tasted horribly fishy. They were lightly coated in flour and a seasoning salt. The food court itself offers a lot of seating (both high tables and low) as well ad seating with charging stations.

I love to eat lunch at Opa of Greece. I usually have a skewer of shrimp and one of chicken, along with the whole wheat pita. Of course, I always have their Tzikiki Sauce which is super delicious. This venue is in the mall food...court which is often crowded and busy, but the service is quick and the staff friendly.

Ordered their combo they had on special and a kids meal. Kids meal was a pitas with a few strands of cheese, pretty sad. I asked for water with the meal since my kids are small and don't need pop. I later asked for my...half full cup of coke just to be topped up, since the other drink I paid for was a water, I didnt think it would be an issue. I know how much a cup of pop costs, and it's less then the cup and straw. I dont expect free things, but I paid for a cup of water and cant even get half a cup of coke topped off? Should have just ordered two cokes and got the free water. My food was nothing beyond satisfactory. Will try something else in the food court next time.
