The quality of the food varied; some tapas were great while others fell flat. I found it quite puzzling that they ran out of certain items on a Friday night by 6 p.m. when the restaurant was less than 50% full. Additionally, the value for the money just wasn't there. For instance, we ordered several "Fuet" skewers, and they were tiny—about the size of a nickel—sitting on an olive with a cute toothpick. At $3.50 each, we could easily make dozens at home for a fraction of the cost, and they would taste better too. Next, we tried the "Pan con Tomate," which consisted of two small pieces of toast served with a tiny side of tomato sauce. For the price, even many pizzerias would do better. The goat cheese, "Cafia de Cabra," priced at $10, was decent but served without any accompaniments like crackers or toast points, which felt lacking. On a positive note, the "Salmon Ahumado" was excellent, and the "Pulpo a la Parilla" was well-prepared. However, paying $18 for such a small portion felt excessive. Unfortunately, many items on the menu were not available, including the "Champinones," "Coquetas de Pollo," and "Bocadillo de Cochinillo." The "Pluma" Iberico shoulder was quite pricey but very good. The "Paella Mar y Montana" was tasty, but the rice barely covered the bottom of the paella pan. Honestly, I don't mind spending money, but this was not a tapas-sized portion. We also ordered the “Gaucho Bistec,” a 32 oz tomahawk ribeye. It's hard to justify $120 for a steak when our group prefers their meat cooked differently; if they had offered 16 oz ribeyes at $60, I’m sure everyone would have ordered at least two. By the time we considered dessert, the way the waiter presented the churros left us feeling less than impressed. Overall, we left feeling disappointed and still hungry. I’m not sure we’ll be returning anytime soon.
We waited 57 minutes for our food after ordering, but it never arrived. The waiter was attentive and understanding about the wait, but eventually, he had to cancel our orders. We ended up leaving the restaurant without eating. I cannot recommend this place.
That was our first time in coqueta. that was delicious. we had several tapas plates before we eat the seafood paella. the smoked salmon was spectacular! we were disappointed at the service. over 3 hours for a meal was more than we had negotiated. we sat almost 30 minutes before we quit. Once we finally knocked down a waiter, it took at least another 15 minutes before we got our drinks (but not yet water on the table.) I couldn't believe that the personal wonders about the tables while it is for the guests who try to tie them down. it's like we're not even there. such a disappointment – especially after learning that michael chiarello has the facility. I would have expected more. we enjoyed eating, but we can skip this for the next time because of the unacceptable service.
Fantastic! Great food and wonderful service. Honestly, i cant recall having more attentive and fantastic service at a restaurant in a long time. We worked our way through the menu and nothing disappointed.
