Panera Bread - Downey

On Monday, August 22nd at around 8:45, I usually only order takeout, so I have never left a review here before. I have been to other Panera Bread locations and received service that was just okay. However, this Downey location has excellent customer service! They are not pushy and even remember my rewards card number. Today was no different, as I was having a difficult time with my teenager and got teary-eyed. The cashier at the window glanced into my car to check on me and asked if everything was okay. I truly felt his genuine concern and I am grateful for his kindness (just a concerned mother dealing with a moody teenager). Thank you for going above and beyond.

I visited this restaurant for the first and last time! The staff members were not friendly. I am not sure if other locations have the same experience. The service was slow, and the food was not worth eating.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant for the first time. The manager, Kevin, was incredibly helpful. When I asked for a recommendation, he suggested something and took the time to explain it to me. I will definitely be returning to this place again.

Today I decided to go alone and order one for my first time. I was lost. I didn't know how to order. daniel helped me. I bought the unlimited sip and he explained how it works. I made sure the people went after me first because I knew I had to ask a few and didn't want to keep the line. he quickly saw my number up and took my order. he also explained the shells/shots. I made my choice and had one more pleasant experience. it didn't feel like I was talking to someone who was just working there. the fact that he really helped me is the reason why I go back from now on. I was intimidated by the order, but this guy made the difference. I also enjoyed eating. on a page note. I have read the negative reviews. please be patient and understand. when I waited for my food, I got a look at the rest of the staff. they look very busy. we just have to be friendly. You never know what a day they have. be a nice human combat veteran suffering from ptsd

I met a good friend of mine for breakfast this morning. He suggested Panera. I was not impressed with the focaccia, folded (scrambled) eggs, microwaved sausage patty, and some unmelted cheese sandwich that I ordered. I'll have to go back and try something else and hopefully will write a better review. Sorry no photos.
