Potato Corner - Downey

This was my first time trying it, and I really enjoyed it. I'll definitely be coming back!

At 11:15 a.m., we were told that the restaurant was closed because the staff was getting vaccinated. When we asked for more details, they just said they didn't know.

This restaurant used to seem like just another gimmicky spot for potato dishes, but it turned out to be much more than that. The sweet potato fries, enhanced with your choice of toppings, were absolutely delicious. The tater tots, chicken wings, and tenders were quite good as well. Today, I returned for the first time in a while, and I was shocked to discover that sweet potatoes are no longer on the menu, which I believe was the highlight of the whole dining experience. I hope this is just a temporary change specific to this location. If they still offered sweet potato fries, this place would definitely earn a 5-star rating from me.

I arrived at the restaurant at 11:15 AM, but was informed that they weren't open yet, despite the employees seeming to have a casual conversation among themselves. When I asked when they would be opening, they simply replied that they didn't know.

This restaurant once appeared to be just another trendy potato joint, but it's much more than that. The sweet potato fries, garnished with a variety of seasonings, were simply delightful. The nachos, wings, and other menu items were also quite good. However, I returned today for the first time in a while and was surprised to discover that they no longer serve sweet potatoes, which I considered the highlight of my visit. I truly hope this is only a temporary change. If they were to bring back the sweet potato fries, I would definitely rate this place a full 5 stars!
