Indian Cuisine - Gainesville

I really regret that I ate at this restaurant on the last day before I moved out. Perfect flavor

I adore the shrimp curry and butter chicken at this restaurant. The sauces are incredibly rich and full of flavor. The naan and basmati rice are also excellent.

One of, if not THE BEST restaurant in Gainesville. The service is top notch, the food is authentic. And when I say authentic, I mean the flavor the consistency and the spice level. If you cannot handle spicy food, ask for it mild or ask the staff about something that will be the mildest (I would recommend the Butter Chicken). They are open for Lunch Buffet and re-open at 5 for a la carte Dinner and full menu options. Bishu, Deepak and Jesus make the ordering easy and are extremely welcoming, not to mention they have steel traps as far as memory goes. They will remember your order down to the smallest detail. If you DO like spicy foods, ask for it hot (you may regret it the next day, fellow spice junkies) If I could rate it any higher I would. Thank you to all of the staff and their families for making this the best and most authentic Indian Restaurant I have encountered in the US. HOT TIP: If you like Indian Street food, or you want to cook some dishes at home, the Indian Street Food on the opposite end of the plaza is another winner and the India Bazaar has everything you need and some things you may not know you even need.

This was my first experience with authentic Indian Cuisine and I was not disappointed. Quick note that I am of Jamaican decent and so these flavors are very familiar to me but this place reminded me of home cooking. Clean, delicious, courteous and just everything for a lunch buffet I'd hope for. Go to enjoy it now! You won't regret it.
