While the ambiance is delightful and the decor charming, the overpriced food lacks both excitement and flavor. It's not a top choice for food enthusiasts.

However, we were disappointed with the food. Upon our arrival, we were informed that there was no menu and only three options available. We ordered the rump steak, which was mediocre, and the hamburger, which was quite awful. The ingredients did not seem fresh, and the flavor was artificial and unappetizing, leading us to leave it untouched. Overall, the restaurant has great potential due to its wonderful location, but it could greatly benefit from improving its food quality.

I had a wonderful experience with the tasting; the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend it!

We hiked at Sable Ranch, which is just up the road from Heksie's. It's a great spot to relax and enjoy a refreshing cold beer after the hike. Katy, the manager, also served us as a fantastic waitress. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and there was a nice selection of interesting food. Be sure to try the homemade chili marmalade—definitely recommended!
