Sage Restaurant - McCloud Hotel

I booked on Open Table for December 23 for dinner. I later found out that they were doing a special Dickens Dinner for the first time. Include horse drawn carriage, awesome preset dinner, and a special presentation of Scrooge by a local actor. Entire night was fantastic. The entire place was decorated and was overall a special Christmas evening to remember. After talking to the owner sounds like they will be doing this on a regular basis, so highly recommend going for this dinner.

This was such a sweet restaurant that served delicious food. Our wait staff was attentive yet left us to our quiet conversation. This was a great experience.

Best restaurant in Siskiyou County in my opinion. I'm from the Bay Area living in Napa California. Now a resident McCloud. I compare the Sage Restaurant to restaurants in Napa Valley.

Went to Sage for New Years Eve dinner. Reservation was for 7 pm but was told that the “2nd” sitting was 7:30. No problem we sat in the waiting area by the fireplace sipped champagne. We ran into old friends that are locals chatted w/ them their friends. Nice. Finally got seated 8:30. The dining room is very small they had put additional like doubled tables in the small, enclosed dining room larger tables outside the dining room 4 larger parties. It felt very cramped our fabulous waitress was a bit large had to squeeze by the table.. resulting in “excuse me” 50 times. The food was good, a little slow to table but I’m sure the kitchen was overwhelmed. I will say the waitstaff was fabulous VERY accommodating , all in good moods courteous! We love this little restaurant but trying to pack em in on a holiday, doesn’t really work. The guitar player was a plus! Will b back!

Food was well prepared and presented. Wine list was extensive but very over-priced. Probably best to BYOB and pay corkage.
