Glenwood's (formerly Stanford Grill Rockville)

My wife and I enjoyed a nice Saturday evening dinner at Glenwood's. The food was excellent. My wife enjoyed the crab cakes while I had the bronzino special. Paired with a nice bottle of wine, it was very tasty. The service was average. Otherwise, it was a very enjoyable evening.

The meal was highlighted by excellent service. A low point, however, were the overly peppery mashed potatoes. A generous substitute of fries was rapidly provided! I'll come back again, but will get crabcakes and fries instead of prime rib and mashed potatoes. Wish a baked potato was offered!!

Food is outstanding. Service was excellent until the end when our server split OUR reward points between us and our friends. He did not even ask if we wanted to use them on this visit, which we did not.

The ambiance at Glenwood's in Rockville is terrific. It has a very posh sophisticated vibe. I am a regular at this location and in Columbia. Both are very good but I prefer the Rockville location for its atmosphere.

We were seated where we had requested and we enjoyed everything we ordered. I think this was the best food we have eaten there. I had the pork ribs with sweet potato fries and the brussel sprouts and it was outstanding'. The ribs were so tender and were loaded with meat falling off the bone. Our waitress was very nice and we had a great experience all the way around!
