Imperial House - S San Diego

Imperial served one of the best steaks I've had in years. It was prime grade strip expertly seared to medium rare plus as I requested, and well seasoned with a balanced blend of salt, pepper, and perhaps some garlic salt. Sides of mashed and al a carte asparagus were luxurious and fresh. The resturant was almost empty on a Friday Night, which was odd, since the “old school” decor consisting of plush deep seated high back leather arm chairs, wood paneled room with opulent crown molding and art work beautifully complements the equally opulent fully stocked bar on other side of foyer.

Dave is an excellent chef, he always comes out to great us and to check on the food. His steaks and lobsters are always on point. Frankie, the waiter, is always a pleasure to see. Remembers our names, shows great hospitality and always makes sure our food comes out flawless. He even picked up that we didn't enjoy one of the apps and removed it without us even having to ask. The place is old school steak house It was empty when we eat due to planned party later in the evening The steaks were cooked just as we ordered them Our server was very friendly and stop by just often enough to check if we needed anything but not so much we could not enjoy our dinner It was a fair value for the quality of the meal

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious tomahawk steak that we split. There is a splitting fee. The restaurant was quiet and adhered to social distancing. We would come here again for dinner.

Our server could've beeb a bit better. Continually had to remind him of what we asked for and things of that nature. My surprise birthday cake wasn't good, it would've been nice if they asked for a flavor preference. The steak was AMAZING. Loved the seasoning, will definitely be back.
