Bud Rob's Bistro - San Diego

I had a fantastic experience at Bud Rob's! The food, atmosphere, and service were all excellent. I made a reservation and was seated right away. I started with the shrimp appetizer and then enjoyed the blackened catfish with vegetable rice pilaf—both were delicious! Since I have a smaller appetite, I managed to finish the appetizer and about a quarter of the entree. The portion sizes are quite generous. Even though I couldn't finish my entree, I took the leftovers home and still had room for beignets, which were amazing! I highly recommend giving this place a try. I didn't encounter any issues during my visit and definitely plan to return to sample the gumbo, jambalaya, and pasta. Enjoy!

I had an excellent experience with the customer service. I didn't have to wait for a table, and my food arrived quickly. The meal was fantastic!

We went in for a late lunch. The tiny space is charming, and service was very good. We shared the jalapeño cornbread tasty but not much heat and the fried shrimp po’ boy, which was delicious! The accompanying fries were crisp and non greasy. The pinot gris was a perfect match with the meal. We would love to go back and try more dishes. A hidden gem!

The food was delightful and truly authentic Cajun. There was a great variety of dishes available on the menu. The beignets were the best I’ve ever tasted and are a definite must-try. The service was outstanding as well. We will definitely return!
