Toribios - El Prado

A new favorite spot whenever I'm visiting family! The beef tacos were absolutely amazing. I also had to try the Frito Pie, which took me back to my childhood and reminded me of the not-so-great Frito Pies we made with homemade chili alongside my best friends. If you're planning to go, I recommend arriving early for lunch, as it definitely gets busy. The outdoor terrace is stunning, and there are several charming indoor rooms as well. The salsa verde was heavenly and was the perfect complement to my taco plate. Now I can't wait to return and sample everything on the menu, especially since everyone in my group had their own favorites. One person always orders the Frito Pie, while another swears by the Tamales. A friend who had the Tostada raved about it being the best breakfast burrito in the city. Now I'm in a dilemma—there's so much to try!

Without a doubt, this is probably the best Mexican food I've ever had. The combination plate with the Chili Relleno is absolutely fantastic! It's a cozy little place that's perfect for stopping by after a day in the mountains.

The best huevos rancheros I've ever had! They make you want to keep eating until you're completely stuffed!

Huevos rancheros, bacon, delicious. Buddy had a breakfast Burrito and really liked it. Fast service too. I recommend this place for a quick stop as you go through.

Had to use the bathroom so bad, but to our surprise there was a line for takeout. We got some chips with guac and salsa...surprisingly they were really really good. Would go back to the salsa alone. They have people and menudo on the menu, so I'm guessing this is a legit place. Not fancy by any means but people and other patrons were nice!
